Campbelltown Council

Waste and Recycling Trucks

Make garbage trucks beautiful? Now there’s a novel idea. Campbelltown Council needed garbage truck graphics that satisfied a number of criteria, including high visibility, friendliness and colour variety. Council also wanted the designs to be representative of the local area. We opted for an illustrative approach as it allowed us to use bold, block colours - it also meant we could silhouette people, thereby not differentiating the community by race or creed.

Bondi Summer 2007 Campaign and Beach Runner Buses

Winner of the 2008 Local Government "Excellence in Communication" Award

Boring old buses got a Metro-fabulous facelift for summer. The campaign, ‘My Bondi Summer’, was inspired by Bondi’s iconic Pavilion and its spectacular beach. We created highly stylised art deco designs of sun, sand and lazy summer holidays, and splashed them all over Council’s free Beach Runner buses.

Royal Caribbean

Billboards

These days it seems more and more people are getting into the idea of setting sail into the sunset. For Royal Caribbean we designed a porthole device for a series of brochures, which we then extended into a series of billboards around Sydney for the summer cruising market.

South American Festival Flags

We were asked to produce flags that represented the vibrancy of South America’s diverse cultures for Waverley Council’s festival held at the Bondi Pavilion. We used the Aztec sun as inspiration and combined this with a bold, scorching colour palette.

Festival of the Winds

For Council’s gorgeous kite flying festival – the Festival of the Winds – we designed a series of flags that were placed along Campbell Parade and Bondi’s boardwalk. We opted for a fairytale illustrative style to appeal to the child in all of us, reminding us to take some time out, return to simple pleasures, and go fly a kite!
